Now download Windows Phone Application Manually from Windows Phone Store


Its again a great move by Microsoft to officially allow to download the Windows Phone .XAP application files locally in your machine. This feature in the Windows Store will be a great move for the consumers who can download in their local machine which will have high end internet connection and transfer the application .XAP file to the device and install it directly with out any interim connection issues. But will this feature will threatens to expose the code by anyways to the developer who can try to reverse engineer the application package to get the code.    [more]

How to download Windows Phone App manually?

Navigate to the application link in the Windows Phone Marketplace or do a search for the application that you are looking to download and we can see the option to left side menu. Scroll to the bottom of the page and we can see the option “Download and Install Manually” and click on it to download locally as shown in the screen below.


To install the application on to the device, now copy the application .XAP file to the device storage location or to the SD card if the supports and run the application directly from the device which will install the application to the device phone storage and it will be installed perfectly.
