Microsoft reveals XBOX One - Next Gen Console

 

imageMay 21st 2013 yesterday Microsoft reveals the details of the much awaited XBOX One console, which Microsoft called the system an "all in one system" for games, entertainment, and television. The system includes 8GB of RAM, an 8-Core CPU, a 500GB hard drive, a Blue-ray drive, HDMI in and out ports, USB 3.0, 802.11n wireless, and more. The news came from the Xbox Revel event happened at Microsoft Campus, Redmond, Washington. Experts predict the price of the device should be something around $400 for both Xbox and Kinect which we will come to know on the release date.     [more]

 

So what are the new features?

Microsoft’s XBOX One console has

  • Blu-ray drive Integration
  • Skype Integration
  • Upgraded Kinect Camera Sensors to 1080p high resolution which allows the Kinect to to better analyze the body movements and get accuracy for game characteristics.
  • Set-top box integration for its next generation console take over the TV similar to the Google TV.
  • Speech Recognition

Microsoft releases New Windows Development Center

 

Its again a news, yes we have the New Windows Dev Center with much enhanced look and feel and better options to get what you need for your development or deployment. Previous release of the Dev center was at the early October 2011 from then Microsoft works closely with the developers and designers to get their inputs on how they can make the resources easily and quickly accessible. As a result we have the new Windows Dev Center released a day before with some good features and enhancements with focuses on great apps, great economics and great reach.    [more]

The portal is available for the application which we are going to build, like it has option to navigate between four main areas in the app development as Windows Store Apps, Windows Desktop apps, Internet Explorer and Hardware. We can use the top navigation drop down available to navigate between the development environment which is needed.
